About the Course
All of our programs are 100% free of charge for all youth ages 12-20, and Teach You Media provides all equipment and instruction materials.
This program teaches you how to create media for film, television, radio and other platforms involving production. You will learn how to use technology, such as digital and film cameras, as well as how to operate industry standard video and audio editing applications and production equipment.
Our block schedule is for highly ambitious youth who are motivated to enter an intensive, hands-on course of study. This is an after school program that we call Visionary Voices (TYM360). TYM360 runs an entire calendar year and is broken up into three blocks:
Block 1 (Fundamentals): August 5th-December 22nd, 2024
Block 2 (Advanced): January 9th-May 12th, 2024
Block 3 (Summer Bridge): June 2nd-June 27th, 2024
Mentees spend two days/week for the first two blocks and each class session is 1 hour in length. Class sessions will typically be held on alternating days (Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays) and will start approximately 15 minutes after the final school bell of the day, which may be different for each school. Mentees spend three days/week during Block 3 and each class session is three hours in length: 92 Total Clock Hours for entire TYM360 program.
LOCATION: Depending on demand, this program will be held at our Phoenix campus (10215 North 35th Avenue, Suite A-111, Phoenix Arizona 85051) and/or at your school campus (Glendale Union, Phoenix Union, Peoria Union).
